The musical revolves around the lives of twin brothers, Mickey and Eddie. Who are separated at birth when their mother, Mrs. Johnstone, is forced to give one of them away. As they grow up in vastly different social circumstances, their lives take contrasting paths. Mickey struggles with poverty and adversity, while Eddie enjoys privilege and opportunities. Their intertwined destinies lead to a heart-wrenching and fateful climax.
