Come From Away is the remarkable story of 7000 stranded passengers in one small town. Coming to Bristol’s Hippodrome from 20th – 31st August 2024.

Come From Away is a heartwarming and uplifting musical that tells the remarkable true story of the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. And its response to the events of September 11, 2001. Premiering on Broadway in 2017, the musical has touched the hearts of audiences worldwide. With its message of kindness, compassion, and the unbreakable human spirit.

The musical unfolds in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks when airspace across North America was closed. Leading to the diversion of 38 international flights to the tiny town of Gander. Despite being a community of just over 9,000 people. The residents of Gander opened their hearts and homes to nearly 7,000 stranded passengers, providing food, shelter, and support during their unexpected stay.

At its core, Come From Away is a celebration of the human capacity for empathy and generosity. Highlighting the bonds that can form in the face of adversity. Through its ensemble cast of characters, the musical captures a diverse range of experiences and perspectives. From the nervous passengers unsure of their fate to the locals grappling with the enormity of the situation.

The music of Come From Away, composed by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. It blends folk, rock, and Celtic influences, reflecting the cultural tapestry of Newfoundland. The songs, accompanied by lively choreography and heartfelt performances, evoke a sense of unity and resilience, weaving together the individual stories into a powerful tapestry of humanity.

Tickets are on sale now for Come From Away and will start at £13.00 for the cheapest seats and go up to £86.00 for the most expensive. The first performance will be on the 20th August 2024 and the last show will be on the 31st August 2024. Get your tickets today!
